While watching the Steve Schmidt interview this morning on the Today Show, you couldn't help coming a way thinking his answer appears very nuisanced and congested; almost as if he was being overly cautious about revealing something on live TV. When asked to give his opinion he instead gave options for the Romney camp and a lecture of sort on the lapse of trust in the institutions of government.
As a senior adviser vetting Romney in the 2008 campaign he is one of the few individuals who had the luxury of looking at Romney's detailed tax history. Rahm Emanuel speculated this weekend that Romney's taxes could've been the reason why he wasn't selected for VP.
